Oxford University’s IT department had recently undergone a renovation and had glass walls and doors installed in three of their rooms. They wanted a way of blocking out some of the glass to ensure that people weren’t distracted when in lessons.
The solution for this project was to produce frosted vinyl with a pattern cut into it. This is a common way of preventing vision from both sides of the glass whilst still allowing light to pass through. It can be profile cut with logos, or patterns, which become see through providing an effective yet subtle up-market and contemporary look.
The design was created in house and based around a design the customer had seen previously. Once the design had been approved and a date for fitting was agreed we prepared the files and profile cut into etched effect (frosted) self-adhesive vinyl. oOur fitter then installed them to each glass panel to create a seamless pattern.
